Welcome to Berkeley!
Founded in 1917, Berkeley Tennis Club is a diverse, friendly, non-profit (501-c7), member-owned tennis club in a quiet residential neighborhood in Orange, NJ located just minutes from NYC.
The club is one of the few remaining with authentic red clay courts. The six courts are meticulously maintained and are open daily from mid-April to the end of October (or beyond), weather permitting.
Click on the video link at the right to see what it's like to play tennis at Berkeley. You can also stop by to an open house and check out the club and players.
Please email us or see our FAQ page if you have any questions.

We'd love to see you out on the courts!

ATTENTION: Our court conditions may vary due to our golf cart (which pulls our court roller) being out on repair. We ask your patience while we address this; please be diligent about sweeping and rolling lines in the interim...thanks!!

Continuing a grand tradition, Berkeley Tennis Club will host a BBQ this Saturday, May 27th to celebrate the Memorial Day weekend! The festivities will begin with a social round robin at 4:30pm. Led by our Hospitality Preservation Team, Berkeley will supply the burgers, hot dogs, sausages, and some grilled veggies. Volunteers are needed to help set up tables and decorate our surroundings, starting at 2:30PM (If possible, please bring a chair as seating is limited). Let Art and/or Felicia know in advance how you’re willing to volunteer; they will be coordinating the food and set up a team. Cooking…tennis… and (eventually) eating begin around 4:30 PM.

The entire Berkeley family thanks the member (who will remain anonymous) for the generous gift of a new court brush and line roller!! These things aren't cheap... and we are grateful to this volunteer's financial support; you have truly helped us all "Build A Better Berkeley"! We also thank Alison Weir and Brian Farran for the new firepit ... a "Berkeley After Dark" tradition!
