Welcome to Berkeley!

Founded in 1917, Berkeley Tennis Club is a diverse, low-key, affordable, non-profit (501-c7), member-owned tennis club in a quiet residential neighborhood located just minutes from South Orange, Maplewood, Millburn and neighboring towns in Essex County, New Jersey, and with convenient regular train service into Manhattan.

The club is one of the few remaining with authentic red clay courts.

The six courts are meticulously maintained and are open daily from mid-April to the end of October (or beyond), weather permitting.

Click on the video link at the right to see what it's like to play tennis at Berkeley. You can also stop by to an open house and check out the club and players.

Please email us or see our FAQ page if you have any questions.

We'd love to see you out on the courts!

Berkeley News

  • The annual membership meeting is scheduled for 6PM on Thursday December 1.  See the email message for location.

  • The club is closed for the season, but extended play is available on two courts for those who are interested.

  • The annual FUNdraiser was a good time for all, and netted (no pun intended!) some very helpful funds to maintain and enhance the club.
